THIS IS ME

Hoy pensaba en el esfuerzo ,el esfuerzo y la disciplina . El ponerme a prueba y obligarme a hacer cosas que desafíen mi flojera y mi apatía . Tengo ganas de cambiar? Puede ser,siempre si es decisión mía y nadie me lo imponga. Esta naturaleza rebelde que hay en cada uno ,pero seamos honestos ¿ quien no lo es?

Quiero cuidarme porque no  quiero que los años me pasen y  pagar el precio de una vida descuidada. Ayer escuche alguien decir que a cierta edad  es mejor dejar de cuidarse ?Tiene sentido? Puede ser, pero me gusta saber que trato bien a mi cuerpo porque así sé que le estoy dando la debida importancia a mi ser. Respetar los tiempos es fundamental. Pero también saber escuchar, individuar ese tiempo y su campanilla y si no tienes conciencia de tu ser ,de quien eres ,de tu cuerpo y no sabes escucharte no vas a escuchar jamás esa campanilla que te avisa cuando ha llegado el tiempo .Si vives tu vida en un cuerpo extraño para ti nunca vas a saber lo que justo para ti. Hoy decidí que no me importa lo que digan los demás o piensen los demás. Hoy decidí ser feliz por mi responsabilidad . Tengo el poder en mis manos. No voy a hablar de los demás ,voy a hablar de mi ,porque si existen personas que tienen opiniones en voz alta de mí ,entonces no hay problema si yo antes que nadie hable de mi misma .Creo ser una persona que ha tomado decisiones interesantes en su vida , he aprendido de mis errores y igualmente no los clasifico necesariamente como tales. Soy una persona muy fácil de juzgar y muy interesante de quien hablar con una pizca ,o mas , de critica  porque no he tomado decisiones para nada ordinarias en mi vida. Hace años hubiera dicho que no se lo que quiero pero se lo que no quiero , hoy se lo que quiero y lo que no quiero ni lo pienso porque ya no es relevante . Estoy tratando de enfocar mi energía en mi y eso incluye las personas con quien elijo compartir vida ,momentos , mensajes y pensamiento, yo no existiría sin ellos porque los que están hoy en mi vida ,que sea físicamente ,virtualmente o emocionalmente son lo que realmente valen la pena para mi , por eso una vez más he decidido andar porque a veces lo virtual no es suficiente ,ahora necesito vivirlas a las personas que amo incondicionalmente .Puedo ser juzgada una vez más pero no voy a hablar de eso porque no es importante .

" una vez un joven pregunto a un viejo como había llegado a la cima de la montaña y el viejo contesto que antes había llegado su corazón y lo demás lo siguió." En lo mismo ando yo!

WAKING UP FROM MY HIBERNATION

ES DEMASIADO CIERTO QUE CUANDO ESTAS ENFERMO ¡NO HAY VIDA!
UNA SIMPLE FIEBRE PUEDE DRAMÁTICAMENTE CAMBIARTE LA VIDA. TODO LOS RITMOS DE VIDA TAN DIFÍCILMENTE ALCANZADOS SE VEN DESMORONADOS POR UNA SENSACIÓN DE “NO ME IMPORTA NADA DE NADA  “¡¡¡ME SIENTO MAAAALLLL!!!”.
ERAN AÑOS, CREO, QUE NO ME ENFERMABA TANTO, I ME SENTÍA INÚTIL AL MUNDO , A MI MUNDO. HAY QUIEN DICE “ESTA BUENO DORMIR Y DORMIR UNOS DÍAS ¿NO?”COMO SI ESTAR MAL FUERA UN EXCUSA PARA DESCANSAR ¿CUAL DESCANSO?? 
PERO BUENO DESPUÉS DE UNA SEMANA DE INUTILIDAD ME HE RECUPERADO AUNQUE QUEDAN UNOS RASTROS, TIPO LA ALERGIA A ANTIBIÓTICO QUE ME DEJO LA PIEL HINCHADA Y CON COMEZÓN (COMO SI TENER FIEBRE NO FUERA SUFICIENTE), PERO LO PEOR YA PASO. 
CUANDO RESUCITE DE MI HIBERNACIÓN FORZADO ME MIRE AL ESPEJO Y LITERALMENTE VI UN MONSTRUO CON EL PELO TODO ENREDADO LA PIEL DESHIDRATADA Y OJERAS, NADA DE GLAMUROSO NI NADA , ESTO ES EL ANTÍTESIS DE TODO LO BUENO Y LINDO QUE HAY EN LA VIDA ( PERO ESTA BUENO DORMIR UNOS DÍAS…CLARO ,COMO NO?!) QUIEN SE DESPERTÓ DEL LARGA HIBERNACIÓN ¡UN  MONSTRUO!
BUENO ENTONCES ANTES DE ESTAR DEL TODO BIEN QUISE TOMAR EL TORO POR LO CUERNOS (UN DICHO ITALIANO “PRENDERE IL TORO DALLE CORNA”) OSEA TRATAR DE CONTROLAR LO INCONTROLABLE Y ME HICE UN BEAUTY SESSION CON ESAS POCAS ENERGÍAS QUE REGRESABAN A MI.
MASCARILLA SUPER, IPER HIDRATANTE DE MANTECA DE KARITÉ Y ACEITE DE OLIVA ,CHECK!
PINTARME LAS UÑAS DE MI COLOR FAVORITO, ROJO, ( PARA SENTIRME MAS SEXY(¿SERÁ POSIBLE?)) ,CHECK!
LAVARME EL PELO CON TANTO DE MASCARILLA SUPER HIDRATANTE Y SECADO CON TANTO DE PLANCHITA, CHECK!
BUENO DESPUÉS ME SENTÍ UN POCO MEJOR A MIRARME LAS MANOS Y   SENTIR  QUE LA PIEL DE MI ROSTRO NO ME JALABA COMO PIEL DE TAMBOR Y MI PELO TODO PERFUMADO Y MAS O MENOS EN ORDEN (PORQUE DESPUÉS DE LA PLANCHITA ME DI CUENTA QUE IBA A TENER QUE ESTAR ACOSTADA ASÍ QUE OPTE POR UNA TRENZA PARA MANTENER UN POCO DE “CONTROL”).
SE QUE NO FUE NADA GRAVE, UN POCO DE FIEBRE CON DOLOR DE GARGANTA ,SE QUE HAY COSAS MUCHO PEORES , PERO ES DIFÍCIL RETOMAR EL CONTROL DE TU CUERPO Y DE TU ENTORNO DESPUÉS DE CASI UNA SEMANA DE INUTILIDAD.
PORQUE HASTA AHORA HABLE SOLO DE MI CUERPO PERO CUANDO EMPECÉ A VER MAS ALLÁ DE MI NARIZ Y VI MI CASA… NI EMPECEMOS ¡CON UNA NIÑA DE 2 AÑOS Y EL PAPÁ TRATANDO DE HACER EL TRABAJO DE MADRE…  BUENO SEAMOS SINCEROS POR CUANTO SE ESFUERCE NO ES LO MISMO . 
ASÍ QUE MANOS A LA OBRA , A RECONSTRUIR EL NIDO TAMBIÉN!

AFTER A WEEK OF USELESSNESS I’M PRACTICALLY  RECOVERED EXCEPT FEW TRACES , LIKE AN ALLERGY TO ANTIBIOTIC WHICH LET MY SKIN SWOLLEN AND ( AS IF IT WERE NOT ENOUGH TO HAVE FEVER AND A SORE THROAT ) , BUT THE WORST IS OVER.

When raised from MY FORCED HIBERNATION I LOOKED MYSELF IN THE MIRROR AND I SAW A MONSTER! WITH  TANGLED HAIR , DEHYDRATED SKIN  AND CIRCLES AROUND MY EYES , THAT’S NOT glamorous , NOT AT ALL!! i THIS IS THE Antithesis OF ALL BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD ( BUT IS GOOD TO SLEEP FOR FEW DAYS...JA JA!) WHO WOKE FROM THE HIBERNATIONSN WAS A MONSTER!

SO BEFORE OF BEING TOTALLY RECOVERED I WANTED TO THE BULL BY THE HORNS (AN ITALIAN PROVERB " PRENDERE IL TORO PER LE CORNA " )MEANS ,TAKE CONTROL  OF THE SITUATION AND GIVE MYSELF A BEAUTY A HOME BEAUTY TREATMEN WITH THE FEW ENERGY I HAD IN THAT MOMENT.

I KNOW THAT A LITTLE BIT OF FEVER WITH A SORE THROAT ISN’T SERIOUS ,AND WORST THINGS EXIST IN LIFE BUT  IS HARD TO REGAIN CONTROL OF YOUR BODY AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT AFTER ALMOST A WEEK OF USELESSNESS .

BECAUSE I’VE TOLD YOU JUST ABOUT MY BODY BUT ONLY WHEN I STARTED TO SEE BEYOND MY NOSE AND I SAW MY HOUSE ... I CAN’T EVEN BEGIN TO TALK ABOUT MY HOUSE! WITH A 2 YEAR OLD GIRL PRACTICALLY RUNNING FREE AND A DAD TRYING TO DO THE JOB THAT NORMALLY A MOTHER DO .. WELL YOU CAN JUST IMAGEN!

#TRENDS .. MIRRORED SUNGLASSES

Hace tiempo que en la web vemos esta tendencia, claro está, pero como es una tendencia veraniega, porque es de lentes de sol de lo que vamos a hablar, yo apenas voy a dejarme llevar por esta onda de las gafas espejadas o “mirrored sunglases”. Como acá en el hemisferio sur apenas van empezando los días de sol y todavía se alternan días de frío y calor no puedo ignorar esta maxi tendencia que veo cada vez más en el street style  mundial. No siempre fui fan de las gafas espejadas pero con este aspecto deportivo logran dar un  giro interesante a cualquier outfit y no puedo negar el encanto que ejercen en mi. Hay para todos gustos y marcas desde OAKLEY ,RAY BAN ,CARRERA ,MARC JACOBS, pero aca en Uruguay vi esta tendencia en las pasarelas de moweek desfilado arriba de las narices de las modelos de black and liberty . la marca oficial de estas gafas son  MR.BOHO . It’s already a while since we can see this trend on the web , of course, but as it is a summer trend, because it’s about  sunglasses what we're going to talk , I 'll just get carried away by the wave of mirrored sunglasses  . As here in the southern hemisphere are just starting the sunny days and it’s still alternating cold and hot days I cannot ignore this maxi trend that I see more and more in the global street style . I was not always a fan of mirrored sunglasses but with this sporty taste they manages to give a twists at any outfit and I cannot deny the charm they have on me. There are many  brands embracing  this trend from OAKLEY , RAY BAN to CARRERA and MARC JACOBS, but here in Uruguay  I saw this trend  on the runways in mo week , on the noses of  black and liberty models .the official brand is MR BOHO. THINGS I MISS

Extraño mis amigas. Extraño esas amigas de verdad esas  con las que improvisas situaciones esas con las que eres espontanea.

Hay cosas que los novios solo no entienden como porque vestirse bien solo para ir al supermercado o a tomar un café o para ir a desayunar un martes de mañana . Amo , amo ponerme linda para mis amigas y vernos todas bonitas platicando de todo como si el mundo afuera no existiera. Que te recuerda? Lo voy a decir aunque me tachen de frívola aunque me digan " de ti no me lo esperaba " pero ellas las únicas: Carry, Miranda, Samantha y Charlotte . Todavia veo” sex and the city”( la serie), mea culpa, pero hay veces que necesito una buena ración de frivolidad de ver a mis "viejas amigas" ellas que nos inspiraron, estas cenicientas modernas con sus aventuras y esas mesas de conversación infinitas y estilos de vida imposibles ,esos desayunos sagrados, y ahí es cuando más digo ,eso es lo que más extraño! Compartir con mis amigas esa frivolidad y no ser juzgada por eso!! Solo Las Amigas de verdad entienden y comparten  mi pasión para Vogue y porque me gusta perderme en medio de esas paginas de lujos inalcanzable con  la misma fascinación con que veíamos de niñas esos  libros con pop-outs que salían de las paginas . solo ellas entienden porque nos gusta ponernos bonitas para ninguna ocasión  si no porque simplemente es un estilo de vida y nos gusta vernos bien y mas cuando nos juntamos .Nos inspiramos para mejorar nuestro estilo , los hombres muchas veces lo juzgan como competencia pero en realidad es inspiración  ,nos inspiramos a ellas que admiramos y que nos hacen sacar nuestra mejor personalidad y crear nuestros mejores outfits.  

Pronto volveré  a ver esas amigas mi mesa del desayuno ya tiene sus cuatro sillas reservadas para esa foto de cuatro chicas todas lindas, reuniéndose después de tres años y mirándose y hablando no stop con la misma complicidad como si no hubiera pasado ni un dia!

I miss my friends.

 I miss those friends  with who I can really improvise, the ones which make you be spontaneous .

There are things that boyfriends just do not understand li ke why we like dress  up just to go to the supermarket or to have a coffee break or for a tuesday morning  Breakfast . I love ,love when me and my friends dress up is so  nice to see  us so cute talking and talking like the world out did not exist. What do this  remembers you? I will say it, even if I’ll be accused of being frivolous though and  think  " I did not expect this by you! " but yes,I talking about them the ones : Carry, Miranda , Samantha and Charlotte . Yes even if it is all outdated I Still see it " sex and the city " ( the series) , mea culpa , but sometimes I need a good dose of frivolity!I need  to see this old friends, they inspired us , these modern Cinderellas, their adventures and those endless conversation tables and impossible lifestyles and those sacred breakfasts .  Here  is when I say  it out loud , that's what I miss most , to share with my friends that frivolity and not be judged for that! Only The Friends really understand and share my passion for Vogue and why I like to get lost in those pages full of  unattainable luxury  ,with the same fascination like we were little  girls and  we were looking  those books with pop outs, so exiting because   you'll never knew what  would pop out  the next page.

 Only they understand why we like to get pretty for any occasion because is a lifestyle and we just like to look good and more when we have a breakfast o a lunch together. We inspire each other  so we improve our style. Men often judge it as a competition but is actually inspiration, we get inspired from women who we admire and we pull out our best personality and create our best outfits.

Soon I will see those friends, my very good friends. My breakfast table already have four booked chairs for that picture of four cute girls, meeting after three years  and talking non stop like time had never passed!

MO WEEK SPRING SUMMER 2014

El fin semana pasado tuve la oportunidad de dibujar pasarelas en vivo .

 Fue un desafío para mí porque nunca lo había hecho antes y era algo que realmente tenia ganas de probar. No  es tarea fácil captar el mood de una colección, la silueta, los colores y reproducirlo con líneas rápidas y estilizadas que incluyan todos estos elementos. Encontré muy interesante el trabajo y la forma de observar el contexto y las modelos. La postura de las modelos me inspiraba más o menos para dibujar la prenda. Fue una oportunidad única!

 La Moweek ha cambiado mucho desde la primera vez que fui siento que  cada edición  va mejorando. Como es un evento comercial y social entre desfiles  la gente aprovecha para comprar saludarse o ponerse al día. No faltaron los mil y un fotógrafos que tomaron  fotos a los outfits de la gente y los showrooms. La Moweek me gusta porque cada vez da  más  oportunidades a nuevos diseñadores, jóvenes  creativos que con sus propuestas buscan un lugar donde mostrar sus creaciones y su identidad como diseñadores   . Presencie el desfile de Lumina Punta Carretas, un concurso de diseñadores emergentes totalmente made in  Uruguay y pude apreciar como los jóvenes  diseñadores apostaron a diseños más comerciales y reales y con una impronta menos escolar a diferencia de ediciones pasadas. Una pasarela que esperé con curiosidad fue el de Rotunda. Ya había escuchado hablar de estas dos diseñadoras y me gusto la sofisticación de las prendas, la mezcla de materiales y la paleta de colores delicados  . la colección mezclaba un estilo urbano y  playero muy sofisticado que me recordó una mujer mística y elegante Tengo que admitir que mi atención fue enfocada en las siluetas . Muchas fueron las siluetas limpias  y lineares , faldas largas y tejidas vestidos ligeros , brillos  y blusas cortas que desvelaban un poco de piel.

 Por su lado El mundo de Adolfo Dominuguez es un  mundo  de mujeres sofisticadas de otros tiempos con siluetas lineares cortes limpios que envuelven el cuerpo de la mujer recordando su estilo natural y su feminidad.

Todo mi material visual son bocetos rápidos realizados durante los desfiles  .

Espero seguir dibujando en muchos desfiles futuros porque fue una grande experiencia .

The past weekend I had the opportunity to do some live runway sketching

 It was a challenge for me because I'd never done before and was something I really had wanted to try. It is not easy to capture the mood of a collection, the silhouette , colors and make fast and stylized lines that include all these elements. I was a very interesting work , a diferent way to observe a collecction.the posture of the model was a big element for inspiration  .It was a unique opportunity

 The Moweek has changed a lot since the first time I went and each time the event in getting better and better. As it is a commercial and social event between the fashion shows people take the opportunity to buy in showrooms or catch up .

I like Moweek because every time gives more opportunities for new designers, young creatives  who are looking for a place to showcase their creations and their identity as designers. One of the runways I saw  was  Lumina Punta Carretas , a competition for emerging designers fully made ​​in Uruguay and I could see how young designers bet on commercial and real designs and  less school project  style as past editions. I was curiously waiting for Rotunda . I liked the sophistication of the clothes , the mix of materials and delicate color palette , with a mixed urban, boho style, very sophisticated ,reminded me of a mystical and elegant woman .My attention was focused on the silhouettes . Many were clean and linear silhouettes , long skirts and light dresses , glitters and short tops.

Adolfo Dominguez world is  sophisticated .  The collection has a taste from other times .  Clean cuts, linear silhouettes witch wraps womans bodies, recalling her natural style and femininity .

All my visuals  material are quick sketches made ​​during the fashion shows.

I look forward to drawing many live fashion shows  because it was a great experience.

TRENDS AROUND THE WORLD .. KEEP READING IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH

Cuando vives en una ciudad chica, que es lo que pasa con la moda y las tendencias? Si eres tan observador de la moda como yo, y vas por la calle mirando cómo se viste la gente notarás que cada ciudad  tiene una moda específica. Me voy a explicar mejor.

 El zapato.

 Acá en Uruguay cuando paseas por la calle puedes observar el repetido uso de este tipo de zapato. No es una crítica, es un tema un poco más complejo  de “quien copia quien “o de simple personalidad es cuestión de opciones creo y de cómo el ojo termina acostumbrándose a estéticas y objetos...   La verdad a mí no me gustan, por lo menos eso pensaba.  Cuando las vi por primera vez el año pasado en una parada de autobús en tamaño gigante a mi lado en una publicidad y en un estridente verde turqués, pensé “no no, eso no es para mí “. Pero no sé si han notado cómo funciona la “cultura visual” o la educación ocular pero cuando nos acostumbramos a ver algo repetidamente y  constantemente , inevitablemente llega el día en que empiezas a tener dudas y te descubres fantaseando justo sobre ese zapato.. Así es. Voy a confesar que un día lo pensé en serio  y casi compro uno de estos zapatos…  además puedo justificarme con un sencillo “pero, son súper cómodos” porque además creo que sea verdad!  Bueno, acá encuentras este zapato de todos los colore sabores y mezclas. Voy a admitir que no soy una admiradora del ponerme algo que veo puesto a todo mundo, siempre fue como algo en contra de mi personalidad pero puede ser que mi voluntad quizás afloje un poco cuando tenga que viajar e ir a algún país donde no se usan tanto, entonces  me sentiré diferente y llevare un poco de moda Uruguaya al mundo. Alguna moda es mundial pero existe mucho más la moda local. Es interesante ver como cada país aplica, adapta y  reinterpreta  la moda según el clima, las estaciones revertidas o el gusto cultural. Personalmente me fascina y más me fascina cuando tengo la oportunidad de mezclar modas y tendencias de todo el mundo porque así me creo mi estilo personal. Como una vez dijo Yves Saint Laurent “las modas desvanecen, el estilo es eterno” .

When you live in a small town, what happens with fashion and trends? If you like to observe how people dress you will notice that each city has a specific trend. I will explain better.

 The shoes.

 Here in Uruguay when you walk down the street you can see the repeated use of this type of shoes . this is not a criticism , it's a s more complex issue of " who copied who " or mere personality is about options and how people ends up getting used to a specific  aesthetic  and objects ... I don’t  like these shoes , at least I thought so. When I first saw them last year at a bus stop in giant size next to me in an advertisement in a raucous turquoise green  , I thought " no no, that's not for me." I do not know if you have noticed how works  the " visual culture " or ocular education but when we use to see something repeatedly and consistently, inevitably comes the day when  you begin to have doubts and you find yourself fantasizing about those shoes .. I will confess that one day I thought about it  seriously and almost bought  them ... I can also justify it with a simple " but they are super comfortable " because I also believe it's true ! Well, here in Uruguay you can find this shoes in  all colors flavors and blends. I'll admit I'm not a fan of trends   it’s against my personality wear something that everybody use, but my will may lack a bit if I have to travel to a country where they are not so comun, then I can feel a bit different and bring  Uruguayan fashion to the world. Some trends are worldwide but there are much more local trends . It is interesting how each country reinvents , adapts and reinterprets fashion depending on the weather , the reverted seasons  or cultural taste . Personally I love  when I have the opportunity to mix fashion and trends from all around the world  so I can create my personal style.
